We had an interesting talk from Ralph Millward whose interest in Rhododendrons led him to research and follow the path of one Frank Kingdom Ward who was a botanist. He went on around 25 expeditions over a period of nearly fifty years, exploring Tibet, North Western China, Burma (Myanmar) and Assam (now part of North Eastern India).
His personal trip took some 4 weeks and his slides of this part of the world were splendid. Not too many Latin names of the plants he found and thus the story had a pretty good balance.
Plenty of questions and Vince gave a vote of thanks.
