Our next talk is on 1st Febraury 2021. We start at 10:30hrs (doors open at 10:00hrs) with Ian Rotherham, who is giving us an illustrated talk about Sheffield’s ancient woods and trees — a surprising history & heritage.

Today, 18th Jan, we had a record turnout of 55 (inc. guests and our speaker) for Michael Edwards who gave us a very well illustrated talk about the The Chesterfield Canal, its history and restoration.
Michael would normally bring books and so forth and naturally this won’t be possible so here is the link to their website where books and other items can be purchased.

Michael Clarke’s excellent blog is now published on the recent talks page.

EXTRA! the forthcoming talks page has been update and is now up to the end of May. An extra talk has been added and one not to be missed!
On 22nd Feb we have a talk on “Exploring Icelandic Volcanoes” by Dave McGarvie who we have fitted in before he returns to Iceland to undertake further studies.
