3rd Feb – David Battye – Sheffield Dialect, Customs and Folklore since WW2

A delightful morning with a lot of interaction form the floor guessing the meaning of some of the words that David showed us. Some guesses hit the mark and others not! A lot of research went in to his little book which could rightly be called a dictionary of local words and phrases – invaluable to any visitor to the area. It would be fair to say –  “ ‘e tret us to reight good do” !
